News from Hamilton High School
Student Safety
For the safety and security of all students, BIRD, Lime, and other electric scooters are not allowed on campus, especially within the parking lots. This past week, a student was injured in the parking lot while riding on one of these E-scooters. Please help your students make safe choices by reminding them NOT to ride E-scooters, bicycles, skateboards or anything else on campus.
eChoices Deadline
The deadline to apply for Hamilton's Magnets and Schools for Advanced Studies programs is November 9th. The application window is open via Unified Enrollment at echoices.lausd.net . We have Magnet tours on Wednesdays and SAS tours once a week until the deadline. Click here to see all upcoming tours.
At this point, we are 2 weeks away from the More than a Meal deadline. It will take a united Hami to reach 70%. We are currently 135 applications short. This could reduce over $200,000 in funding to the school. We need for all families to complete a meal application immediately.
Lockdown Drill
We will conduct a Lockdown Drill on Friday, October 26th at 12:30 pm. It is important that students follow all instructions given by teachers and staff. Please be aware that no visitors to the school will be allowed during the drill, and all visitors inside the school at the start of the drill will become participants in the drill. No one is allowed to enter or leave campus during the drill. Thank you for your support in helping us keep all our students safe.
