News from Hamilton High School
Congratulations to Derrick Lewis. He is being honored as a Scholar Athlete by the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Football Foundation and is the recipient of a $500 award.


Kudos to Humanities 11th graders Ernesto Zelaya and David Morales who scored in the top 2.5% of all Latinx students in the State on the PSAT/NMSQT.
Congratulations to pianist Dalton Hayse and bassist Dario Bizio, both selected as 2019 Young Artist winners.

Bell Schedule for 2019-2020
As many of you know, we have been going through a process to modify our current bell schedule. Last week our faculty approved a proposed to bring 7 periods to all students during the regular school day. The new bell schedule for the 2019-2020 school year will become available soon on our school website.
Piano Recital
Tuesday at 7 pm
March 13th marked the 125th Day of school! We will recognize students who have so far maintained excellent attendance on Wednesday, March 20th during lunch. Eligible students will receive a summons on this Wednesday during 5th period. Students must have their summons and Hamilton Student ID in order to redeem their reward.
The Spring Play is Here!
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest opens on Thursday, March 21st, right after a traditional spaghetti dinner. Tickets will be available at the door.

Celebrity Basketball Game
Please join us at our 1st Annual Celebrity Basketball Game on Friday, March 22nd, 2019 at 5:30 PM. Doors will open at 5:00 pm. This is an event that you won't want to miss. Students are able to purchase tickets at the student store for $15.00 and at the door for $20.00! Please join us as Celebrities battle it out with our Boys & Girls Varsity Basketball Teams, our Staff & the March Madness Champions!
The Booster Club is looking for nominations for next year’s executive board. The Booster Club is an important resource on our campus, supporting school-wide teachers, students and administration. It's a great way to share your talents and support the Hamilton Community. If you are interested in joining or learning more, please email the Booster Club at  hamiltonboosterclub@gmail.com . Nominations will be announced at the next Booster Club meeting on April 5.
