Building Community Through Service
I grew up believing in the importance of service, a value instilled in me by my mother. She taught me that we each have a responsibility to contribute to the places we call home and to help make life better for those around us. Service has always been a part of my life.
Since moving to Larkspur in 2002, I have been deeply committed to serving the community I love. During my 18 years as a Larkspur Parks and Recreation Commissioner, I have seen how shared spaces, welcoming programs, and community events bring people together and make our city stronger. In 2015, I founded the Larkspur Rec’ing CREW to uplift Larkspur by backing parks and recreation initiatives that are accessible, welcoming, and reflective of the city’s evolving needs.
Today, the Rec’ing CREW proudly sponsors cherished community traditions like "Lights in the Park" and the "Music in the Park Concert Series", now celebrating its 6th year. These signature events bring neighbors together while strengthening connections across our community. I am especially proud of the Rec’ing CREW’s growing role in bringing local organizations together. In 2025, we joined the Friends of the Larkspur Library and other community partners to host the "Touch Trucks" event, drawing more than 1,000 attendees and demonstrating the power of collaboration. After a year of celebrating the opening of the new library, planning is already underway for the 2027 event—a testament to the Rec’ing CREW’s leadership and our commitment to creating meaningful traditions that bring our community together. This is something I will continue to champion if elected to the Larkspur City Council.
