Boat Parade
The annual Lake Union Holiday Boat Parade launches on Saturday, December 16. Boaters from all around the area show up with lights, trees, music, and more. Additional information is available on their website.

INDOOR DRY RACK STORAGE
Our sister marina, Foss Landing of Tacoma, has spots open for indoor boat storage in a temperature-controlled warehouse. The team at Foss Landing trains to expertly provide full-service launches and haul-outs, rinses, pump-outs, and more. They store boats from 18' to 42'.

WINTERIZATION TIPS
Our friends at West Marine put together a checklist of steps to consider as you wind your boat down for winter. Please take a moment to look it over. It is up to you to determine how to protect your vessel. At a minimum, keep secure lines, sufficiently power your bilge, and keep covers in place.
Dry weather is in the forecast over the Thanksgiving weekend. If you have time, visit the docks. Your boat will be thankful for you!
If you use a heater, please do so sparingly. Heaters can be a massive fire hazard if used without caution. Closed cabin boats may benefit from dehumidifying crystals, but dehumidifiers are ineffective in covered open-bow boats.

NEW PARKING PASSES
In January, our red 2022-2023 parking passes will expire. The new 2024-2025 parking passes will be available at the office starting December 18. At the same time, we are handing out Key Fobs to simplify our gate entry process and to reduce the frequent sharing of gate codes with non-members. Come by the Lakewood office and pick up your 2024 packet. Stay tuned for updates!

FIREFIGHTERS
We are very grateful to the Seattle Fire Department for everything they do to keep us and our boats safe. They frequently send crews to our marinas for training exercises. As a reminder, we require a thirty day notice prior to vacating a slip. Remember that if you depart, you do not retain any priviledges to a slip in the future. In order to receive your full security deposit please ensure your account balance is fully paid, and that your parking passes are returned to the office at Lakewood.
