LESLEY FRANCIS PR RANG IN THE NEW YEAR WITH THREE PROMOTIONS
Lesley Francis Public Relations announced the promotions of team members Kristyn Beasley, Shelby McKee, and Allie Robinson. Kristyn Beasley, who has been with LFPR for seven years, was elevated from Account Director to Vice President of Marketing. Shelby McKee, who joined the team in 2021, was also promoted from Digital Design Director to Vice President of Digital Design. Allie Robinson, who joined LFPR in 2020 and is a former Account Manager, is now an Account Director at the company.

SAVANNAH AFRICAN ART MUSEUM ANNOUNCED A NEW SERIES OF WORKSHOPS FOR 2023 CENTERED AROUND “HONORING AND CELEBRATING”
The Savannah African Art Museum announced this year’s theme of “Honoring and Celebrating” and a lineup of upcoming workshops. This will be a three-part series centered around honoring & celebrating ancestors, family traditions, trailblazers, and the earth. Each workshop will be interactive with hands-on activities for all participants. The first installment will focus on “Honoring”, with the first event on January 14 at their Upbeat Village Terracotta Gallery.

HSF’S “PEOPLE, PLACES AND STORIES” LECTURE SERIES WELCOMED JAMIE CREDLE
Historic Savannah Foundation (HSF) hosted Jamie Credle, Director of the Davenport House Museum, as the most recent presenter in their “People, Places and Stories that Define Savannah” lecture series. Credle’s presentation covered her recent studies through the Attingham Trust’s Study Program, “The Historic Houses of Ireland.

OUTSIDE BRANDS ANNOUNCED ANNUAL “RECYCLE YOUR JACKET” INITIATIVE TO SUPPORT LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS
Outside Savannah and Outside Hilton Head, both a part of the Outside Brands, called on the community to support their annual “Recycle Your Jacket” initiative by donating their lightly used jackets, coats, sweaters, and blankets to local organizations dedicated to supporting homelessness. For Hilton Head, donated items were given to The Deep Well Project, and Savannah items were given to Old Savannah Mission. Items were collected at both retail locations from January 16-31. Moving into the 36th year for this program in Hilton Head and the second year in Savannah, Recycle Your Jacket is a coat drive that is facilitated through the Outside Hilton Head Island and Savannah retail locations.

SAVANNAH AFRICAN ART MUSEUM PARTICIPATES IN GEORGIA HISTORY FESTIVAL’S SUPER MUSEUM SUNDAY
The Savannah African Art Museum is pleased to participate in the Georgia History Festival’s Super Museum Sunday once again from 12-4 p.m. on February 5, 2023. The museum will offer free self-guided tours around the museum with docents stationed at various points to answer questions and provide information as needed.

HISTORIC SAVANNAH FOUNDATION TO HOST A TOUR OF THE RALPH MARK GILBERT CIVIL RIGHTS MUSEUM IN THE "PEOPLE, PLACES AND STORIES" LECTURE SERIES
Historic Savannah Foundation (HSF) will partner with the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum to present the next installment in their “People, Places and Stories that Define Savannah” lecture series. The tour is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 16 at the Ralph Gilbert Civil Rights Museum, located at 460 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

MARY’S PLACE: SEXUAL ASSAULT CENTER OF THE COASTAL EMPIRE, INC. TO HOST INAUGURAL “FIND YOUR VOICE” GALA AND LIP SYNC COMPETITION
Mary’s Place: Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire, Inc., formerly known as the Rape Crisis Center, is slated to host their annual fundraising gala at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 7 at Victory North, located at 2603 Whitaker Street in Savannah. This year’s gala will be like no other as the nonprofit organization introduces the inaugural “Find Your Voice” Lip Sync Competition, where teams will compete for a chance to win in a variety of categories.
