A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
The 2020-21 school year is coming to an end. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support. This year was like no other year with its many challenges. With your help, our kids accomplished great things!
As we move into a new school year, we have some exciting changes coming to MSE. Next year, we will be the home for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Nine students, grades Kindergarten through 4th, will join our Wolfpack. Our Band Room will be getting a complete remodel. We no longer need this space for Band due to the 5th grade moving to the Intermediate. The room will be converted into a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) lab. The remodel will include new light fixtures, as well as new paint on all the walls. New cabinets will span the back east wall, and new flooring will be installed. Science tables on wheels will provide flexibility for lessons and create a fun workspace for students to learn.
Please continue to watch our Weekly Wolfpack News videos for reminders and upcoming events for the end of the year. Thank you again for an unforgettable year and for sharing your incredible children with us!

BOOK FAIR SCHOLASTIC eWALLET
Students may shop for books at school using an eWallet. You can use the Scholastic Book Fairs app or visit our website at www.scholastic.com/schoolbookfairs to put a limited amount of money on your child’s account. Students will have the opportunity to shop at school beginning on Monday, May 10th - Wednesday, May 12th. Your card will only be charged for the purchase(s) made. If the purchase exceeds your limit, it will be denied. Any money that is not spent will be returned to you electronically. This is an excellent way for grandparents who live out of town to purchase books for their readers. If you have questions, please feel free to email Mrs. Bailey at [email protected]

Our focus and message each day to the Wolfpack is, "Be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe!" We ask that you please help us model these attributes in our parent pick-up and drop-off line. Our goal is to keep the process safe, quick, and fair for all.
- Please stay in your vehicle during drop off and pick-up
- Have your child ready to exit the car as soon as you pull up to the sidewalk
- Exit slowly through the left lane when leaving the line
-
Do not pass other cars to better position yourself in the line
Beginning Monday, April 5, if your kindergartener needs assistance loading or unloading from the vehicle, please do not stop at the end of the kindergarten hallway. We will have an attendant at the end of the chain-length fence to assist you. This will allow more cars to unload while helping our kindergartners and keeping kindergarten students close to their hallway.
