We want to hear from you! The 2027–2030 Comprehensive Planning Survey has been extended through Friday, March 27, giving all community members a chance to help shape the future of New Hope-Solebury School District.
Your feedback is essential. The three-year comprehensive plan relies on the perspectives, ideas, and suggestions of families and community members to set priorities, goals, and initiatives that support all learners. By sharing your thoughts, you play a direct role in shaping decisions that impact students and our community.

| Middle School Musicians Perform at the Flyers Game | | |
Several of our New Hope-Solebury Middle School band and orchestra students had an unforgettable experience this week, performing live at a Philadelphia Flyers game and showcasing both their musical talent and school spirit.
Under the leadership of Mr. Nicholas Wehr and Mr. David Bachart, students performed in the energetic Gritty section, thrilling the crowd with their music and bringing a little bit of Lion Pride to the arena. The performance highlighted the incredible dedication and talent of our young musicians and created lasting memories of music, teamwork, and school pride.

FAME: The Musical has arrived to New Hope-Solebury High School, and our talented Mask and Zany cast are lighting up the stage! Audiences are in for a thrilling ride of dance, song, and unforgettable performances as our students bring the world of performing arts, dreams, and determination to life.
Filled with iconic music, breathtaking choreography, and infectious energy, this is the kind of show that will have you shouting, “I’m gonna live forever!”
There’s still time to catch the magic with performances at 7:30 PM tonight, March 13, as well as tomorrow, March 14.

| | Community Celebrates at Hollywood Nights Fundraiser | | |
What a night! Our New Hope-Solebury community came together to celebrate, connect, and support students at the Ed Fund’s Hollywood Nights fundraiser late February. Hosted in partnership with the Middle School PTG, the event highlighted the power of community and the commitment to providing innovative programs and opportunities for students across all New Hope-Solebury schools.
Thanks to the generosity of attendees, sponsors, and volunteers, the evening raised approximately $20,000 to support grants and initiatives that benefit students throughout the district. We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to making the night such a tremendous success.
It’s inspiring to see how our community comes together to support education and create meaningful experiences for students. Thank you to all who made Hollywood Nights an unforgettable evening!

| UES Lions Complete the 100 Book Challenge! | | | | |
Congratulations to three of our UES Lions, including Kian B. and Senna S., for completing the 100-Book challenge!
The Hundred Book Challenge is a rigorous independent reading program designed to foster a lifelong love of books by challenging students to read for at least 30 minutes daily.
Reaching the hundred-book milestone represents hundreds of hours of dedication, focus, and academic discipline. It’s a significant achievement that correlates directly with increased vocabulary, improved comprehension, and higher confidence across all subjects.
These students haven’t just finished a list. They have built a formidable foundation for future success.
We are incredibly proud of these young scholars for their persistence and passion!
| | High School Career Fair Welcomes Dozens of Professionals | | |
Our high school proudly hosted its annual Career Fair, bringing together several dozens of professionals to share insight, expertise, and inspiration with students. This event gives students a firsthand look at a wide range of careers and allows them to explore the paths that might align with their passions and talents.
Professionals represented each of our Career Pathways areas, including Arts & Humanities, Health Sciences, Innovation & STEAM, and Business & Communications. Students had the opportunity to learn about the daily responsibilities, required training, and the most rewarding aspects of each profession.
The fair featured an impressive variety of careers, including environmental engineering, emergency medical services, psychology, food marketing, hospitality entrepreneurship, cosmetology, directing, fashion, and many more. By connecting students directly with professionals, the event helps them gain valuable insight into the working world and sparks curiosity about their future opportunities.
It was a fantastic day of learning, networking, and inspiration, and we are grateful to all the professionals who shared their time and expertise with our students. Thank you to Ms. Reeder, staff, and volunteers for making this event such a success!

Supporting Student Wellness:
Mental Health Resources Available for the Lion Community

At New Hope-Solebury School District, supporting the well-being of our students and families is a top priority. Through our partnership with the Cook Center for Human Connection and ParentGuidance.org, the Lion community has access to a wide range of free mental health resources designed to support students, parents, and guardians.
Each month, families can explore helpful insights and practical strategies through the ParentGuidance.org Mental Health Newsletter. This month’s edition focuses on an important topic for many young people: body image. Body image is about more than appearance—it reflects how children and teens feel about themselves. The March Mental Health Newsletter offers guidance for families on ways to help children build confidence, model self-acceptance, and develop a healthy sense of self-esteem.
In addition to the monthly newsletter, families can take advantage of live and on-demand webinars offered throughout the month on a variety of mental health topics. These sessions are led by licensed therapists and provide practical strategies for supporting children and teens. Families who want to plan ahead can also view the April and May Mental Health Series calendars to see upcoming topics and opportunities to learn.
NHSD families are also invited to join the next Lions Parent Classroom, Tools for the Tough Days, on March 25, which will highlight the many free tools and resources available to guardians through the district’s partnership with ParentGuidance.org. The session will focus on practical supports to help families navigate the tougher days of parenting and guardianship.
Together, these resources are part of NHSD’s continued commitment to supporting the social and emotional well-being of every Lion. Families are encouraged to explore the available tools, participate in webinars, and take advantage of these valuable supports throughout the year.

APEX 10 Year Milestone Celebration
April 14 @ 6:30 PM
New Hope-Solebury High School is proud to celebrate the 10-year milestone of the APEX (Active Personal Educational eXperience) Program, an innovative senior capstone experience that empowers students to explore their passions through a self-directed project. Guided by a faculty advisor and driven by an essential question connected to their interests, the Senior APEX Project challenges students to demonstrate their learning, creativity, and personal growth.
All alumni, staff, families, APEX facilitators, and the community are invited to join us for the APEX 10-Year Celebration on April 14, 2026, at 6:30 PM in the High School Theatre Lobby. The evening will include a brief presentation on the program’s lasting impact, along with refreshments and opportunities to connect with students, alumni, and faculty.
Former APEX participants and facilitators are also invited to contribute a short message about their experience for a commemorative recap video by March 25. Please view the video submission instructions.

What Our Kids Need: A Parent Conversation on Youth and Mental Health

Have you ever wondered how to best support your child through life’s ups and downs—from kindergarten through high school?
Join us for NAMI’s Ending the Silence presentation and take part in an open, supportive conversation for parents of K–12 students. Through real stories and expert advice, you’ll gain insight, understanding, and practical ways to help your child feel heard, supported, and confident.
You’ll walk away with helpful tools and insight on:
- Recognizing early warning signs
- Understanding key facts and trends
- Starting meaningful conversations with your child (ages 5–18)
- Partnering with school staff to support your child’s success

April is Autism Awareness Month, and our BRIDGE Program students are excited to spread awareness and school spirit!
They’re hosting a sticker sale featuring:

Robert Nagg Memorial Alumni Game & Fundraiser

The New Hope-Solebury community is invited to take part in the 14 Annual Robert Nagg Memorial Alumni Game and Fundraiser, a special event that brings together generations of Lions while honoring the memory of a beloved student-athlete.
This meaningful NHS tradition celebrates Robert Nagg, a member of the Class of 2014, who bravely battled brain cancer and passed away at the age of 17. The Memorial Game was founded in 2013 by Robert’s teammate Jaxon Vallely (Class of 2012) as a way for teammates, alumni, and the broader school community to gather, remember Robert, and celebrate his love for soccer and the spirit of New Hope-Solebury athletics.
Each year, the event welcomes alumni back to campus for friendly competition, reconnecting with former teammates, and supporting a great cause. It has become a powerful reminder of the lasting bonds formed through NHS athletics.
This year’s event will also recognize several milestone class reunions, including:
- NHS Class of 1976 – Celebrating their 50th reunion
- NHS Class of 2016 – Celebrating their 10th reunion
- NHS Class of 2021 – Celebrating their 5th reunion
Alumni interested in participating in the games are encouraged to sign up by contacting the following organizers:
Commemorative event T-shirts are also available to help show off that Lion Pride. Staff and students can order shirts at the Hope & Sole Cafe while community members can purchase shirts online. Shirts can be picked up on the day of the games or in advance at the High School Main Office on May 15.
The Robert Nagg Memorial Alumni Game continues to be a heartfelt celebration of community, remembrance, and Lion pride. Alumni, families, students, and community members are encouraged to attend and be part of this special NHS tradition.

New Hope-Solebury Boys Basketball Camp
June 15-18
The NHS High School Boys Basketball Team, led by Coach Mike Connors, is excited to host an action-packed summer basketball camp for students entering grades 2–9. The camp will take place June 15–18 and will focus on developing fundamental skills, teamwork, and a love of the game. The cost is $300 per camper ($550 for two siblings), and all proceeds support the High School Boys Basketball Team. Registration is now open.

Shaving for a Cure: St. Baldrick’s Returns to NHSD
Community Event: March 14
The annual St. Baldrick’s Fight to Cure Pediatric Cancer is returning to the New Hope-Solebury Upper Elementary School on Saturday, March 14. Community members are invited to get involved by helping raise funds, shaving their heads, or donating eight inches or more of hair in support of this important cause. Solebury Soccer Club is officially calling all aspiring athletes for our upcoming tryouts! Doylestown YMCA to Host Jump Rope Mini Clinics

Roxey Ballet Presents Journey Back to the Eighties
March 31
Roxey Ballet’s Journey Back to the 80s is a pop/rock music and dance extravaganza featuring top hits from the 80s played live or recorded by Doylestown, PA-based tribute band, GruvTyme. Phenomenal choreography and dancing by Roxey Ballet will take the audience back to the era of rock 'n roll, shoulder pads, and iconic music.
Nostalgic music paired with exciting choreography features songs including Flashdance, Jenny Jenny, Tainted Love, Walk Like an Egyptian, Billy Jean, Like A Prayer, Footloose, and many more. Mark Roxey’s choreography masterfully combines ballet, hip-hop, jazz, modern, contemporary, and social dances of the era that bring the audience to their feet, singing and dancing in the aisles.
