#NHSSD students have been engaging in fun, hands-on learning while exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). Last week, our #Littlest Lions built structures for the LES Marshmallow Challenge. Tall towers, igloos, and snow creatures are just some examples of their imaginative creations. Mr. Mannion's art classes at the UES explored STEAM concepts by designing their own chess sets for 3D printing. Students in Mrs. Chuma's class were challenged to design and manufacture inventions utilizing three different materials. While sharing their prototypes in a Shark Tank-inspired forum, the students explained the product benefits, their design choices, and potential profit margins. |
