We are excited to kick-off our school year with a tremendous honor for our Middle School—now a recognized National Blue Ribbon School! We also reflect on this important time to build connections with our families via open houses and back-to-school nights. Be sure to mark your calendars for many upcoming events hosted by our schools and community.

Middle School Earns National Blue Ribbon Honors

We are delighted to announce that New Hope-Solebury Middle School is one of only 297 schools across the country to be awarded the National Blue Ribbon School distinction for 2022.  The Middle School was recognized in the Exemplary High-Performing Schools category, which distinguishes us among the state’s highest performing schools as measured by standardized assessments. This honor is a reflection of our promising students, dedicated faculty and staff, and our engaged, supportive community.

Getting to Know our Students and Families

Within the past week, we have greeted parents and guardians, both in-person and virtually, to share information about our teachers, our curriculum, and student expectations and goals. The Lower Elementary School embarked on an innovative approach to kindergarten classroom assignments this year—taking a full week to get to know the incoming students before formally assigning them to a specific classroom. After a week of thorough evaluation, kindergarten families were invited to attend an open house to engage in a craft activity with their child's new teacher. During the Upper Elementary Back-to School-Night, UES principal Mr. Brosious introduced families to important concepts that will remain a focus throughout the year, such as the growth mindset, which helps students recognize and understand that failure can be viewed as an opportunity to learn and grow.

LIONFEST

Mark your calendars for an exciting event coming up on Friday, October 14—our first-ever districtwide LionFest! This is a fantastic way to support our student clubs, sports teams, and parent organizations while enjoying carnival games and tasty fall-themed treats! Bring your whole family to cheer for Lions Athletics, grab Walking Tacos or Chick-Fil-A from our Football Booster Club, and visit the carnival next to our Stadium Field to enjoy cider doughnuts, have your face-painted, play pumpkin tic-tac-toe, and more. Lions attire is encouraged!
