Sunday School News - Why We Gather at the Table
Grateful for Manna
Karen Kilty, Director of Children's Ministries
Readings to Inspire:
Grateful by John Bucchino; Deuteronomy 26:1–11; John 6:35-45
We come to the Thanksgiving table ready to give thanks for so much. In the readings chosen for this Sunday, John reminds us that our true thanksgiving is for the living bread – God with us. Our reading from Hebrew Scripture reminds us that true thanksgiving is shown in what we share with others. We will be preparing a gift for our own Thanksgiving tables, something to share, and to also remind us of the goodness that is shared with us.
