Adult Faith Formation:
Manna and Mercy
Lindsay is leading a group studying the book Manna and Mercy, which presents the history and storyline of the Bible. Our hope is that this will give us all a chance to deepen our understanding of the Bible, and to piece together some of the stories we know (does Daniel in the lion's den happen before or after Noah and the Ark? Who are all those prophets? Why are there four gospels instead of just one?) Books are available for purchase. The group meets in Parish Hall at 9am and again at 11:15am for those who cannot make the 9am time . If you have any questions, please contact Lindsay at:
Marblehead Food Pantry Collection
As we have done for many years, ONC has made a commitment to fill the shelves of the Marblehead Food Pantry during the month of November.   During this month of Thanksgiving, it is a wonderful opportunity for us to show how thankful we are for the blessings we have been given and for us to make sure that others in the community, many of whom are less fortunate, will also be provided for. At each Sunday service, brown bags will be available with a list of suggested items to fill the bags. Filled bags may be returned to the Narthex or left in the hall way at Stacey Street. The Outreach Ministry Board will deliver the bags to the Marblehead Food Pantry. Please contact Lynda Hare at 781 639 0107 or [email protected] with any questions. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Welcome the Stranger
Welcome the Stranger is a partnership of Old North Church, St. Andrews Church and Temple Emanu-el.  For the past few years, the partnership has been helping a Haitian family and now they are self sufficient. Our current effort is to help settle a refugee family from Moldova (a tiny country nestled between Romania and Ukraine). They are settling in the U.S. under an official U.S. State Department program. Our role was to get their apartment furnished and set up for their arrival.

Thanks to you, a family of 5 arrived in the rain at Logan a week ago and, after spending years in a refugee camp, was able to sleep in their own beds, safe and comfortable.
Thanks to you who donated furniture, household goods, toiletries and cash to fund the U-Haul. Thanks to you who offered to donate but couldn’t because of the overwhelming outpouring of offers to help. Thanks to the ONC Men’s Group (Dennis, Tom, Frank, Tom and Richard), Danie’s husband Virgil and friend Pierre and the wonderful team of ROTC kids from Lynn English who helped with the heavy lifting. Thanks to the team of people who cleaned the apartment until it sparkled, arranged the furniture so that it looks like home, and then filled the fridge with a week's worth of groceries.
Coffee with a Minister
Lindsay will now be available to meet with you for coffee each Wednesday at Mookie's from 12:30-2:30.
