Dear Pleasantville Families and Community Members,

On behalf of the Board of Education and the Administration, I want to express how much we appreciate the participation at the Capital Project Community Forum last night. More than 60 community members were present with many sharing their thoughts and concerns, as well as providing insights and suggestions with us.

As we continue on this journey together, I ask that you review and consider how the district’s mission, along with the Strategic Plan, guide every aspect of our work. The items prioritized in the Capital Project are directly aligned to the infrastructure and resources strategy in the Strategic Plan: we will maintain and optimize use of the district’s facilities, equipment and supplies to provide a safe, collaborative, and flexible environment for all students and staff.

The vote on December 17 is just another step on the Capital Project journey. We are encouraged by the community’s engagement and are committed to taking this journey together. We will continue to provide opportunities for important discussions, allowing us to listen and learn from one another throughout the entirety of the Capital Project and beyond.

We are committed to continue to share information about the project. Today, I invite you to view a new video in which I am joined by BoE President Erin Ballard and several members of our administrative team in explaining the Pleasantville Forward Capital Project.

As always, I thank you for your shared commitment to provide the Pleasantville Panthers with an educational experience that empowers them to thrive as lifelong learners, dynamic thinkers, and compassionate, contributing citizens.

For the youth,

Dr. DeSa
