This holiday season, we wanted to take a look at all of the things the Pleasantville community and schools are doing to give back. Some collections are ongoing, so please give if you can and uplift members of our community this holiday season!

FAST Program Students Support Senior Center

This month, the FAST Program students at Pleasantville High School are making a difference in the lives of others by preparing care packages full of lap blankets, chapstick, hand lotion, and candy for Pleasantville community members at the Senior Center.

The FAST Program at PHS participates in midnight runs by providing hygiene products purchased with the proceeds from the FAST Finds Thrift Store. The thrift store supports charity all throughout the year!

Find FAST Finds at the Pleasantville Presbyterian Church on December 19th to support and celebrate the holiday with charity!

Middle School Toy Drive Brings Joy to

Children in Need

Sometimes it takes a team effort to make a difference for children in need. That’s why the Pleasantville Rotary Club and Pleasantville Middle School Student Government collaborate every year to bring smiles to children’s faces through an annual toy drive.

The groups work together to collect and load toy donations so that the nuns from the Fraternite of Notre Dame in Harlem can easily pick them up. This collection will continue through December 18th, so there is still time to donate. Those wishing to donate can drop off their donations at the main office of the middle school.

Holy Innocents Anonymous Donor

Each year one anonymous donor provides Holy Innocents with twenty $250 Amex gift cards to be distributed to District families in need of support during the holiday season. The donor does not ask for thanks or recognition. A community member simply recognized a need and did what they could to help. Thank you!

Thank You

Community members are supporting one another and those in need all over Pleasantville this holiday season. Whether you are working with the schools, parents, community members, or outside organizations, whether you're making personal or wide-reaching contributions, we thank you for putting goodness and joy into the world in challenging times.

Happy Holidays, and stay tuned for next week's Pville Press which is all about music!

Share the Pville Press with a friend. Forward this email to Pleasantville community members who might like to sign up and learn about all the great things happening in the PUFSD.
