RCBI welding facility to anchor redevelopment
-
---RCBI's Welding Technology Program soon will have a permanent home. RCBI will open an advanced Welding & Robotics Training Center on the former site of ACF Industries, becoming the anchor tenant of the H-BIZ Green Manufacturing Hub in Huntington.
---The welding facility and hub projects are part of a larger $62.8 million U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) Build Back Better award to Coalfield Development Corporation and a broad coalition of partners.

Cyclops achieves ISO quality certification
---From a small manufacturing facility in South Charleston, Cyclops Industries produces its patented industrial sight glasses for customers spanning the globe. The quality of the company's products has kept clients coming back for more than 60 years. Now, with the assistance of RCBI's Quality Implementation team, Cyclops has earned the coveted ISO 9001: 2015 certification, an international standard often required to export, secure military contracts and become a supplier to major manufacturers.

Aerospace company turns to RCBI for solution
---When Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, one of the premier aerospace companies in West Virginia, had difficulty finding replacement parts for a popular type of regional jet it refurbishes, the company turned to RCBI for technical assistant. RCBI Design Engineer Morgan Smith scanned the parts then create three-dimensional computer designs of the hard-to-find components. RCBI then connect Mitsubishi with a small manufacturer capable of producing the molds required to manufacture the components in-house.

---The centerpiece of the festival will be a Design Challenge that provides makers of all ages the opportunity to demonstrate their ideas and skills to earn rewards – including cash prizes – for creativity. Festivities also will include special exhibits, demonstrations by artisans, innovative technologies, live music and hands-on activities for all ages. Conference to focus on W.Va. solutions
--fThe fifth-annual Small Communities, BIG Solutions Conference kicks off Nov. 15 at the University of Charleston. The event will showcase West Virginia successes and highlight projects that advance the state’s health, economy and communities.
---A diverse group of experts and leaders will share their insights, including Appalachian Regional Commission Federal Co-Chair Gayle Manchin and Alys Smith, co-founder of the Wing to Wing Foundation.
