STEM Parent Academic Survey and School Operations Survey

As we continue to focus on further improving our school, we look to the STEM families for feedback. We are asking for feedback related to the teaching staff, curriculum, school culture, parent engagement, and have added a specific area related to our recently implemented remote learning. 

Please take a couple of minutes to complete the  STEM Parent Academic Survey (please complete one per student) and the School Operations Survey (please complete one per family) regarding the 2019-20 school year. 

We greatly value your feedback. As an organization we are committed to ongoing improvement in all facets of our school to better serve our students. Please complete the surveys prior to May 15th.

Update on Volunteer Hours

We want to thank you all for both the time, and donated items you provided for our school this year. So many things would not have been the success they were without your help. With us being in this new "virtual" situation, please know that we will freeze the volunteer requirement now, and no one is expected to volunteer for the rest of the year. If you still have time to log from previous events, please do this by the end of this month. We will be honored to share the list of volunteers that had already completed their volunteer hours.

Kindly App Launch

As part of eCybermission STEM-in-Action grant , "Kindly" an anti-cyber-bullying solution was launched virtually which was attended by several students and organizations nationwide including Forbes Ignite, UNICEF, Children's Kindness Network board members and students from 10 different states, some of whom were featured in Disney's Marvel Hero episode. A demo of the solution was shown and a partnership with Children's Kindness Network was established in addition to opening up a challenge for crowd-sourcing and empowering students to code. The implementation steps started in Aug 2019 and about 500-600 hours were spent in addition to promotion, awareness, and planning for the launch event. Kudos to the team and their advisor. Great job!
