Did you know that we have amazing industry donors?!
A group of 10 employees from one of our industry partners, Avaya, stopped by to drop off five boxes of supplies that its staff had collected for our teachers and students.

A total of five boxes included a range of items from sports balls to pipe cleaners, wash cloths to sidewalk chalk, and paper towels to cotton balls.

Avaya is a multinational technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, California, that specializes in business communications. They also happen to have an office right across the street from STEM!

The 10-member group stayed to take part in our weekly Wednesday tour of STEM to learn about our school and our innovative approach to learning.

In addition to the boxes of supplies, the group shared a check for $1,800 with me, to go toward our engineering department. As a school, we are truly blessed to have such amazing community members that want to see our students succeed, and our staff have access to the resources they need.

I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention that we received an amazing donation of computers from Arrow Electronics, valued at over $30,000. Former STEM alumnus Reade Webb and his coworkers delivered the computers last Friday to our IT Director Mike Pritchard.

Thank you,
