Papal Visit to South Sudan

The Holy See Press Office announces that Pope Francis is postponing his Apostolic Journey to the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan, which was originally scheduled for early July.

Solidarity attended the UISG Plenary and the USG Assembly

Last May, the Solidarity staff had the opportunity to attend the UISG Plenary and the USG Assembly: these are the two major sponsoring entities in the Catholic Church.

Both the events give the staff of the Rome Office the opportunity to interact with the General Superiors, bringing them up to date on our initiatives in South Sudan and encouraging the continued involvement and support of their institutes in the important work being done for the people of South Sudan.
