Two of the station’s programs, Mid-Mornings with Amy and It’s Finally Friday Live with Kate, asked the local community to visit the station’s website and nominate deserving women for the designation.
Throughout the month of March, each woman nominated as Women of Distinction appeared live on either Mid-Mornings with Amy or It’s Finally Friday Live with Kate.
“We are so proud to be able to recognize such amazing women in our community, and thank you to everyone who nominated these deserving women,” said Stroud. Smith noted, “It’s important we celebrate the accomplishments of women throughout history, and what better way to do that than to honor awesome women in our own community.”
The Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce was the presenting sponsor of Somerset 106’s Women of Distinction.
