Resource stewardship focuses on decreasing vitamin D testing
As part of participation in Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan's Resource Stewardship Initiative , The Physician Alliance is targeting vitamin D tests as an an over-utilized quality metric. Testing is often unnecessary and levels can be improved naturally. The Physician Alliance created an education poster about vitamin D to assist practices in initiating conversations with patients.

TPA practices can download the patient education poster or order complimentary copies to post in waiting areas and exam rooms.
Registration open for complex care management course
The Physician Alliance partnered with the Michigan Institute for Care Management and Transformation to host a special complex care management course on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019 from 7:30am-4pm.

The MiCMRC Complex Care Management course is designed to prepare the healthcare professional for the role of complex care manager. This free, limited space MiCMRC Complex Care Management Course (CCM) curriculum content will:
  • Provide the framework for the care management role
  • Provide foundational elements of care management integration into the ambulatory care setting
  • Support development of care management skills to meet the needs of complex patients

Who should attend : This complimentary course is available to licensed and unlicensed personnel training to deliver care management services in your practice .

Location: Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Medical Education Building, 27321 Dequindre, Madison Heights
A light breakfast and lunch will be provided to attendees.
