Resource stewardship focuses on decreasing vitamin D testing
As part of participation in Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan's Resource Stewardship Initiative , The Physician Alliance is targeting vitamin D tests as an an over-utilized quality metric. Testing is often unnecessary and levels can be improved naturally. The Physician Alliance created an education poster about vitamin D to assist practices in initiating conversations with patients.

TPA practices can download the patient education poster or order complimentary copies to post in waiting areas and exam rooms.
