#ShapiroEffect
We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make this moment possible. Over 50 of us came together at the EMDRIA Conference in Anaheim, California, to proudly wear our Shapiro Effect shirts and celebrate the lasting impact of Dr. Francine Shapiro.
It was a beautiful moment of connection and shared purpose. We hope every time you put on your shirt, you feel the power of the Shapiro Effect.

Individuals and communities continue to face an exhausting pace of both human-made and natural disasters this year, underscoring the urgent need for accessible mental health support. The Trauma Recovery Network (TRN®) was created to meet this need by providing pro bono EMDR Informed Early Interventions through dedicated local volunteers. This year, our network continues to grow, welcoming new TRN locations, new volunteer members, and new resources to strengthen our impact.

Thank you Cynthia Carr!
After years of dedicated service, we offer a heartfelt thank you to Cynthia Carr as she retires from our Board of Directors. Cynthia brought a wealth of legal expertise to the Board, drawing on her distinguished career as Deputy General Counsel, Director of International Legal Affairs, and Director of Planned Giving at Yale University, and as General Counsel at Save the Children. During her time with us, she offered invaluable guidance on both the Gift and Advancement Committees, as well as working groups focused on bylaws, the Trauma Recovery Network and International programs. We are deeply grateful for her wisdom, leadership, and unwavering commitment to advancing our mission.
