Pastoral Care
When Canon Lockett accepted her new call, that left an opening for Pastoral Care at Trinity. A new clergy member for this position cannot be recruited at the moment due to the virus and our Dean Search, but pastoral care needs are ongoing and need attention -  especially  during this time. To meet these needs, we have assembled a new Pastoral Care team that is excited to serve our community.

The team will be overseen by Canon Malanuk , who will be the clergy contact for people involved in this ministry. The team will also be led by many generous volunteers who will oversee specific areas of the Ministry, as follows:
  • Scotty Frantz and Joan Danforth have been busy making calls to check on our congregation, and have recruited others to assist in this effort as well.
  • Joan Danforth is also overseeing our Lay Chaplains during this time.
  • Mopsy Crawford is heading up the Order of St. Luke. She will respond to prayer requests and offer intercessory prayers.
  • Susan Johnston has been assisting with our Newcomer Ministry.

Ways to reach our clergy at Trinity:
  • There is a form available online (click here) that goes directly to the clergy for any confidential prayer requests or care needs.
  • You can also dial 803.771.7300 and select option 4 to leave a message. Those messages are retrieved by Canon Grosso who will determine the response along with the other clergy, based on the nature of the request.
  • The direct dial numbers for our clergy are as follows: Canon Grosso - 803.461.7324, Canon Dorian - 803.461.7320, and Canon Malanuk - 803.461.7309. These are office numbers, but leaving a message on these lines will work as the phone system sends an emailed message to the individual's email address as well.

Please check our website here for more information as well as updates about Pastoral Care at Trinity. If you have any questions about Pastoral Care at Trinity, please contact the people listed above.
Update from the Search Committee
The Search Committee met on April 14 via Zoom with all committee members in attendance. We continued to review potential candidates, both newly received candidates and candidates that were previously known to our group.

Our narrative, which is the description of Trinity that candidates will read, is posted on our site here and we encourage everyone to read the document.
The combination of the narrative, our annual report, our staff, clergy and search member listings all combine to give a profile of our parish that allows any candidate the chance to know us - at least at a distance. As we listen to and peruse other churches, we can assume others will do same to us, and the items we have posted should be a terrific resource for them.

In the next 60 days, we look forward to making good headway in our process as we move into summer. The virus prevents face-to-face meetings and travel, but it is our hope and prayer that those restrictions will fade as we move further on our journey. As always, for your prayers, support and patience.
From our Parish
Middle School Girls Bible Study Zoom:
It is hard during this time to celebrate the special moments in our lives, while not being able to be together in person. Our Youth Director, Addie Tapp, shared a special moment that happened during the Middle School Girls Bible Study that meets via Zoom each week. On the day of their meeting, it also happened to be group member Marlee's birthday. To make her feel special, the group sang happy birthday over the Zoom conference. It's the little things that help us feel connected and special during this time, and we are grateful for all the ways people are showing their love and compassion for each other while we can only meet virtually.
