Your Tax Dollars at Work

Residents of Ward 3 can rest easier thanks to the installation of 26 newly purchased community cameras and tag readers, part of an initiative to enhance public safety and deter criminal activity.

This cutting-edge technology marks a significant step forward in ensuring the safety and security of our neighborhoods.

The cameras, strategically placed across the ward, are equipped with advanced features to monitor public spaces, intersections, and areas prone to illegal activity. The tag readers, on the other hand, will help law enforcement identify vehicles of interest in real time, streamlining investigations and improving response times.

The implementation of this project was made possible through collaborative efforts between the Councilwoman Arnold and College Park Police Chief Rogers. Residents can expect the cameras to be operational immediately, with the data collected being used strictly for public safety purposes and handled with the utmost respect for privacy and confidentiality. The installation of these cameras and tag readers is part of a broader initiative to modernize public safety tools citywide.

We encourage residents to stay engaged and report any concerns or suspicious activities. Together, we can build a safer, more secure community for everyone.
