All Scott County Library locations will be closed on Thursday, December 24th and Friday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas holiday. Libraries will be open during their regular business hours on Saturday, December 26th.

Cozy Up! Winter Activities for Adults
January - mid-March

Is winter looking a little dreary? Well, don't miss out on this free program (beginning in January) that will deliver activities, contests, creative projects, and more right to your mailbox. Sign up to receive:

  • an initial mailing containing a 16-page booklet and additional activities in early January
  • a mid-winter mailing of a unique creative project

Monday, January 11th
All Day

A volunteer attorney will call you at your pre-determined appointment time to discuss family law issues. This may include divorce, post-divorce issues, custody and parenting time, child support, and more.

Thursday, January 14th
All Day

Meet with a volunteer attorney for 30 mins to discuss a civil legal issue (this can include family law, conciliation/civil court, protective orders, simple probate/estate questions, etc.).

  • 'Twas the Night Before Christmas - Children have delighted in the telling of Clement Moore's classic A Visit From St. Nicholas. Join the Minnesota Symphony Orchestra for a special version of the beloved tale with timeless classical music that's just right for a cozy story time - with illustrations by Nancy Carlson. 
  • Games to Play on Zoom - If you can't be with friends and family over the holidays this year, you can still get together virtually to play board games. Most of the games are free, and some are great to play with kids, while others are will appeal more to adults.
  • Lake Minnetonka Holiday Lights - Looking to see some bright light displays for free? Bundle up, put some holiday music on the radio, and take a drive around Lake Minnetonka. This area has some of the best lights on the biggest houses.
