TULI seeks to share some of the best ideas about how followers of Jesus are engaging cities through media including journals, books, and podcasts. The New Urban World Journal is published through a collaboration with friends at the Urban Shalom Project. Check out the latest edition of the journal which highlights some of the transformational work happening in Pittsburgh.
In early August, a group of 11 people participated in a short term mission trip to Honduras that was the first trip through TULI designed as a global urban immersion opportunity. Our team partnered in transforming mission through Dr. Lisa Anderson-Umana's ministry with Christian Camping International in the capital city of Honduras, Tegucigalpa. Check out how things went by clicking on the video link, and please let me know if you're interested in participating in a global urban immersion opportunity through TULI in the future.
More than 30 people from North Way's Wexford campus participated in a summer urban immersion opportunity in July. We spent a full day learning about perspectives and approaches to God's mission in cities, and then we lived out what we learned through serving at House of Manna's Feed The People outreach event and through spending an evening serving refugees in Pittsburgh's Prospect Park neighborhood. More local urban immersion opportunities will be announced soon. Check out my blog for more details and photos from the summer urban immersion.
