Irnak and Thasmika, secondary students at Sunmarke, did the school proud by winning the Junior Designer of the Year award at Junk Kouture Contest in Dublin.
Their design 'Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover' spreads the message of looking beyond superficialities to unravel inner beauty. World’s Glaciers are Melting Faster than Ever Recorded

Glaciers are melting faster than ever, due to climate change. Overall scientific analysis shows that mountain glaciers and frozen rivers are freshwater sources , which have lost over 6.5 billion tonnes or (5% of ice) since the turn of the century’s turn. Data from 2000 - 2011 showed ice glaciers started to reduce at a faster rate, due to increase in temperatures and especially from human activity and even fossil fuel burning. Another data shows between 2000 - 2023, glaciers outside Greenland and Antarctica’s ice sheets lost about 270 billion tonnes each year. Are we seeing global warming taking over completely?
