WE SURPASSED OUR BE THE CAUSE GOAL!
|
|
THANK YOU to all our donors who helped us exceed our 2021 Be the Cause goal for the third year in a row! You helped us raise $7,343.85 last year that will be used to fund local, national, and international programs such as scholarships, leadership development, and educational opportunities for AFP members across the globe. Furthermore, a portion of every donation that a member makes goes back to our chapter to support our efforts. Thank you again for making this possible by giving back to the fundraising profession and supporting the future leaders in our field!

Chamberlain Scholarship - last chance to apply
|
|
AFP, Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties Chapter is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2022 Chamberlain Scholarship. Each year AFP Foundation for Philanthropy offers one registration scholarship to qualified chapters for the Annual AFP International Conference on Fundraising (ICON). This program is designed to help individuals serving nonprofit organizations develop their knowledge and skills in fundraising. The scholarship honors the memory of Ralph E. Chamberlain, CFRE.
AFP ICON, AFP’s flagship “International Conference,” is held each year and brings together nearly 4,000 fundraising professionals to discuss important trends and issues related to fundraising and philanthropy, with a focus on fundraising practice and technique.
The 2022 AFP ICON will be held Monday-Wednesday, May 2-4, 2022 in Las Vegas, NV.
One candidate will be chosen by our Chapter Scholarship Committee to receive a scholarship toward registration for the AFP International Fundraising Conference on Philanthropy. Registration fees, except for a $10 payment to secure registration, are paid by the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy.
Application Deadline: Friday, January 21, 2022 @ 5:00 p.m.

Calling all AFPSBV Chapter members!
Make a difference and help direct the health of our chapter by volunteering on a committee. We need your voice on the following committees:
- Professional Development - help shape what trainings are booked and suggest experts in our field to speak. This includes integrating Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access or an IDEA lens into all of our trainings and events.
- Membership - help us expand our membership by reaching all of our colleagues in both large and small organizations. We need diverse voices.
- Finance - if you are a wiz at budgets and financial planning, help us build a strong financial base.
These are just a few of the ways you can help our local chapter lead us into the future.
