DECEMBER 2022

Our goal with this newsletter is to bring a creative spin to the way that we stay in touch while showcasing all
what the St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation Department’s Therapeutic Recreation Division has to offer.
FIT 5K

NOVEMBER HIGHLIGHTS

Thank you for another successful Annual Fun F.I.T. 5K! This year we had 100 total attendees along with vendors, games, and more. It was so much fun celebrating all together. Be sure to join us again next year.

November was the month for festivities as we celebrated Thanksgiving at the Out on the Town Thanksgiving Feast event on November 12 and the Theatre with a Purpose performance on November 17. Great job to all who participated in this year’s theatre program! We ended November with two back-to-back days of TRekkers awesome field trips over Thanksgiving break. We can’t wait to do it all again in December. Be sure to sign up for our winter break activities either in person at your closest recreation center or online via your Parks and Rec Connect account.

Food Drive & Pantry

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: ST. PETE GIVES BACK

We have teamed up with St. Petersburg Police to combat food insecurity in our community as we collect donations for families in need this holiday season. You can help by providing perishable food items for our St. Pete Gives Back event. Beginning November 7, through December 8, Azalea Recreation Center will be a drop-off donation location for non-perishable foods for the December 15 food pantry event.
