MindShifters Radio will change!

We were notified a few days ago that BlogTalk is going away. We WILL continue the show but right now we do not know where we will broadcast from for live shows for you to call in. Here is what we know and what we need, if you have a suggestion please offer it.

BlogTalk Radio notice said .....

"As of January 31st, 2025, BlogTalkRadio will no longer be operating and we have to say goodbye to you, our loyal users. We are so thankful for the support and creativity that you have brought to our platform. We wanted to share this information with you now to ensure you have the opportunity to save and redirect your content to another platform or download your podcast to ensure its longevity.

While there are no other platforms that offer the live guest call-in option, we do want to let you know about our sister company Spreaker, where we can place an easy redirect to ensure the safety of your podcast. We can also offer a great discount if you are interested in any of the available plans."

Archive Storage Options

We are in the process of storing all of our archives in Dropbox and on an external hard drive so our archives will not be lost. From January 31, 2011 to March 1, 2019 we were 1 hour a day/5 days a week. Then March 4, 2019 through November 15, 2024 we were/are 2 hours a day/5 days a week. We have a total of 5,090 hours of shows in our archives. We are checking with the suggested BlogTalk's sister company Spreaker (owned by iHeart Radio) about an easier transfer of these archives but they are not a live podcast internet platform for us. We are also looking into Spotify hosting our archives but they are not a live podcast for callers either.

Platform to continue LIVE Internet Radio Shows

We currently have an account with Podbean which we can do LIVE broadcasting with call-ins but it is not the most user friendly. Most podcasts are prerecorded sessions and then made available to listeners. We are considering using ZOOM for LIVE shows, we would establish one login code that would remain the same every day. People can tap in via ZOOM on their phone or computer and have the option to have their camera on or off. Several people suggested riverside.fm and I am looking into that as well. And Dr. Tim Hayes has a meeting with a group on Wednesday to see what they provide. We will let everyone know as soon as we know.
