CWCF AGM AND BOARD REORGANIZATION


The AGM was an important exercise in fulfilling the second co-operative principle.

COLIN MACDOUGALL RECEIVES MARK GOLDBLATT WORKER CO-OP MERIT AWARD


Colin MacDougall of SSG received the Mark Goldblatt Worker Co-op Merit Award for his long history of leadership within the sector. The award presentation also featured a song written in his honour, with music composed by CWCF Board member Martin Van Den Borre (who also wrote the lyrics with input from Kelly Storie, Jason Sooch, and Melanie Broguet).

MULTICULTURAL HEALTH BROKERS RECEIVES WORKER CO-OP BEST PRACTICES AWARD


 Multicultural Health Brokers Co-operative of Edmonton received the Worker Co-op Best Practices Award for its intercultural approach to participatory governance. The award was presented in a moving ceremony held at the Edmonton Intercultural Centre, which houses MCHB's offices.

Marty Meyer, acclaimed as the Prairies/NWT/Nunavut Director at the 2025 AGM, brings a long history of experience in massage therapy and training through CoopZone's development program and CWCF's Worker Co-op Academy to the position.

BOARD MEMBER PROFILE: MAURICE AMIRI


Elected as the Atlantic Region Director at the 2025 AGM, Maurice Amiri of Expertise Hub Cooperative brings a background in engineering and digital innovation to the position.
