CRA Supports Edison Universe

Together with the Horizon Foundation, the City of Fort Myers, the Fort Myers CRA has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to support the Edison Universe.

From 2020 through 2024 for a minimum of three seasons, the annual
Edison Awards Ceremony and Innovation Showcase will be hosted at
the Luminary Hotel and Convention Center in Fort Myers Downtown redevelopment area. The CRA will contribute $25,000 per year for three years, together with the same amount contributed by the City of Fort Myers.

Since 1987, the Edison Awards™ have recognized and honored some of the most innovative new products, services and business leaders from around the globe. The Awards are named after Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931) and symbolize the persistence and excellence personified by Thomas Edison, while also strengthening the human drive for innovation, creativity and ingenuity.
