Hello Friends of HYC,
With the Safer at Home Order issued by Los Angeles County extended to May 15, we understand that you may be feeling anxious and uncertain about home life, work, finances, and other circumstances that affect you and your family during this time. Here at HYC, we understand these feelings as well as our clients' feelings, who already face tough and, at times, dangerous situations in their home lives due to trauma and abuse. HYC wants you to know that as an essential service operating during the COVID-19 emergency, we continue to work extremely hard to help our clients who are experiencing more challenges than ever before.
The families we serve need us now more than ever, and we need your support to help us continue our work!
HYC is committed to helping our most vulnerable populations during a very challenging time. HYC is also going through many changes and is adapting to this crisis by delivering vital counseling services to clients in their homes using a secure telehealth model. Our Homeless Services Program is assisting homeless individuals and families in person, providing basic assistance and case management to make the transition to safe shelter. We are preparing for the future return to face-to-face services in all of our agency programs by implementing physical distancing in all of our HYC office locations.
As we face this together, we ask the community to come together and support each other during these hard and uncertain times.
Our top priority has always been to keep families safe, and during the COVID-19 crisis, we must also do our very best to keep everyone healthy. In order for us to do this, we must have the essential protective supplies to keep staff and clients safe and healthy. We are educating our families and keeping them informed on the most current updates, but we are still in need of supplies.
Please help us today by donating masks, gloves, or making a monetary donation to help us purchase these necessary items.
Your help today will go a long way! Let’s do this together!
