ANAC Member Townhalls

On June 26 2025, ANAC’s Policy and Membership Committees hosted a powerful virtual town hall that gave members space to reflect on their experiences under the current administration. ANAC members named the challenges they face, expressed their hopes, and shared strategies for staying grounded and resilient while remaining true to our shared values and commitment to the people and communities we serve.

We’re grateful for the honesty and community that emerged and we look forward to having another virtual town hall in early October and a live town hall at ANAC2025 in November. Stay tuned for more details.

JANAC article

In the Sept/October edition of JANAC, ANAC members and staff collaborated on a powerful piece that outlines the critical insights nurses bring to the impact of health policy titled Nurses on the Frontlines of Collapse: Advocacy, Leadership and HIV Care in the Wake of United States Agency for International Development's Withdrawal From Kenya, Malawi, and the Philippines. ANAC authors Noriel Calaguas, Mwikali Kamami, Ellen Schell, Anthony Velasco and Nate Albright draw attention to how nurses and other frontline providers in those countries are leading the charge by bridging clinical care and policy, organizing with their communities and working with one another to find solutions.
