Federal lawsuit filed
ANAC joined with eight other organizations in filing a lawsuit in federal court to stop the deletion of vital public health and science data by the Trump Administration and Department of Health and Human Services. It would enforce federal law and require HHS agencies to restore deleted websites and stop any further removal of public health data, including HIV resources and guidelines.
Policy Coalition sign on-letters
ANAC works in coalition with other national and global organizations on shared health policy issues. Working in coalitions enhances the work of any one organization and amplifies messages. Coalition sign-on letters carry weight with key decision makers.
We have signed on to more than 15 coalition letters since January.

Call for papers
The Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (JANAC) has issued a call for papers for a special issue in January 2026: Ethical, Social, and Political Issues in HIV Prevention, Care, and Treatment.
JANAC recognizes the importance of an explicit examination of ethical, political and social issues in HIV prevention, education, care and treatment, as well as the need to elicit the distinctive voices of nurses in collaboration with people living with HIV.
