Be the Light for Honey Creek

Help Honey Creek purchase two much needed generators for campus! One generator will be used for the dining hall and one for the water well. When the power goes out, these generators will keep food from spoiling, keep clean water flowing, and allow Honey Creek to remain a safe place of refuge for our community.

And right now, every dollar given is being matched 100%. So your gift goes twice as far! Will you consider helping to Be The Light? Click HERE to donate to this very important cause. You can also mail your gift to: Honey Creek c/o Be The Light, 299 GA Episcopal Conference Center Rd., Waverly, GA 31565

Spring Lenten Retreat

Jesus invited those following him to come away with him to a quiet place and rest for a bit. This coming Lent, you are invited to do the same - to come away with Jesus as he enters the wilderness and spend time with him in silence and in rest.

On this retreat, participants will be invited to reflect and pray with Scripture, meditations, and music to experience the near presence of Jesus. We will explore what it means to be in the wilderness as we begin the sacred journey of Lent, and to discover the ways in which we come to know God’s presence wherever that journey leads us.

So that we can better hear what God might be saying to us, this will be a silent retreat. After Compline on Thursday, we invite you to observe The Great Silence throughout the weekend, including at meals. If you’re new to silent retreats, don’t be intimidated by it. You will be well supported throughout our time together.

We will begin with Evening Prayer on Thursday and conclude with lunch on Saturday, so that the retreat is available to both laity and clergy.

History lesson for the Bishop
