Volunteer Newsletter
August 2019
The Super Kids Organizing Committee is grateful for the continued interest and support of the annual Abbey Centre Super Kids Triathlon. We enjoyed hosting a record breaking 79 participants this year!

Super Kids’ vision is to provide a fun, non-competitive race for children aged 5-12 and encourages participation from start to finish in the sport of triathlon. The event advocates children to be active, boosts self-confidence that can be carried forward into adulthood and provides lasting happy memories.

All participants are deemed Super Kids and are supported by the many Superhero volunteers who possess the supernatural powers of community and are dedicated to causes bigger than their own. Many choose to forgo sleep and work hard to provide an atmosphere of joy and belonging for the kids, and, without these heroes, the success of this event would not be possible. Our enduring thanks to our Superhero volunteers for a super job! We look forward to all of you jumping into action next year!

Sincerely, Carol Simpson, Abbey Centre Guest Services Officer
Volunteering offers vital assistance to people in need, worthwhile causes, and the community, therefore transforming both the lives of the people who volunteer and those who benefit.

“The Heart of a Volunteer is not measured in size, but by the depth of the
Commitment to Make a Difference in the lives of others.” ―  DeAnn Hollis
