SAW Annual Conference

We are currently planning our annual conference, which will take place on January 31 and February 1, 2023, in Saskatoon, SK. This year's conference will be filled with diverse speakers from varying backgrounds and perspectives speaking about water and agriculture, the theme of this year's event. Participate in networking opportunities with those in academia, non-profit groups, industry, and agriculture!

Prairie Watershed Climate Program (PWCP)

The Prairie Watersheds Climate Program (PWCP) provides up to $40 million in financial support through Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF). This funding is available to producers in Manitoba and Saskatchewan to accelerate their adoption and implementation of on-farm beneficial management practices (BMPs) to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and support production efficiency, sustainability and resiliency on their farm operations.

Aquatic Invasive Species Monitoring

Our Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) water sampling for this year has come to an end. This year, we sampled 47 waterbodies in Saskatchewan. Samples have been sent for analysis to determine the absence or presence of invasive mussels. We will be sure to share results with our subscribers and followers when available.

Adult Invasive Mussel Monitoring (AIMM)

By participating in the AIMM program, you are helping to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species in Saskatchewan! Your monitoring efforts may include checking your dock, shoreline, or mussel substrate sampler.
