The lowdown on lockers

Hold and reserve pickup solutions for every library

dtech_holdIT-banner image

As we hope you have heard, CLC now has equipment contracts for all your library equipment and tech needs. This month, we’re focusing on contactless hold/reserve pickup solutions. From indoor and outdoor lockers, to pickup "smart shelves" and other unique options, we have vendors who can help you find and configure the perfect solution for your needs and budget.

Most of these vendors - Bibliotheca, D-Tech, FE Technologies, mk Solutions, and Tech Logic - offer a full suite of equipment solutions, including self-check, materials handling, security gates, and more. If you are looking at multiple products, you will most likely want to use the same vendor for all so that you have one integrated solution.

Luxer One is the exception. They are locker specialists.

Let’s look at some of the options available through the CLC equipment contracts.

Hold/Reserve Pickup Lockers

These lockers are for patron pickup of items that have been placed in the unit by library staff. Locker contents are not visible from outside. They can be used indoors or outdoors (some have different models for different environments).

Unique Pickup Solutions

These units are also for patron pickup of items that have been placed in the unit by library staff, but they have some unique differences. Contents are visible either through transparent doors or on open shelves. The Bibliotheca unit can be configured for browsing as well as holds pickup.

FE Technologies Lockers

FE Technologies offers the Display Reservation Locker, which has been specially designed just for libraries and features transparent doors to make loading and management efficient for library staff. Up to 80 slots in a small footprint: up to 72 small boxes (choose 1, 2 or 3 shelves of 24 each) plus 2 large boxes and 6 medium boxes. While the doors are transparent, this is not a browsing kiosk, it is purely a pickup locker.
