Habits of Grace:
An invitation for you, from Presiding Bishop Curry
As we learn how to adjust our lives given the reality of the coronavirus and the request to do our part to slow its spread by practicing social distancing, I invite you to join me each week to take a moment to cultivate a ‘habit of grace.’ A new meditation will be posted on Mondays through May.

An Invitation from Presiding Bishop Curry to Turn and Pray on Behalf of our Nation.

Aloha my Siblings in Christ Jesus,
As we begin Lent, I encourage you to take up the Presiding Bishop’s “A Call to Prayer, Fasting, and Repentance Leading to Action” (please watch his video at Presiding Bishop's Call to Prayer, Fasting, and Repentance).
April Green Tip
April 22, 2020 is the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day! Although our time, energy, and prayers are focused on being healthy and safe, there are ways to express our continued love and protection for our planet. On April 22nd, you can still participate in the  Earth Day 2020  movement by connecting online and uniting with others to transform our environment. Various digital events will be held. You could also, take some time to repot a plant that needs tender loving care or plant some seeds. In this time of crises, be creative and Re-imagine how you can make a difference!

Exercising abundant caution, the good deeds of the Lincoln Park ministry continued this past Sunday, April 5th. T he Salvation Army had a crew providing pizza slices in to-go packages and CHA set up a table close by. We had 25 packages with $5.00 McDonald’s gift cards left over from family life ministry.
In addition, Ministry leader Maria Jampolsky estimated approximately 40 out of the 51 packages from today are left. Each package also contained $10.00 KTA cards thanks to the Chow family and Charlene Soares along with personal hygiene items.

O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on your servants as they begins another year. Grant that they may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness all the days of their life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
