Entrusted Gifts Corner:

F or where your treasure is, there your heart be also. (Luke 12:34)
Starting this month you will find an annual ‘pledge’ card for 2020 in the back of the pews.  Our vestry and finance committee use these cards to plan/supervise the cost of running this parish and itsʻ outreach and service to the community for the next year.  Please do not let these cards intimidate you or weigh on your mind.  Only after prayer and discernment of your giving of gifts of time, talent and tithes should you fill out these cards.  They can be placed in the offering plate or dropped off in the office up thru November 17, 2019.
Read the personal testimonies on Giving delivered this past Sunday:

Jim Penny - "...I know the more you participate in whichever way or ways you can, the more the church becomes  YOUR family , the MORE you’ll  want  to give. And, I know  WE ALL can give more . So, whether it’s time, money or talent, I’m asking you to commit  more  because the more you give the more  joy  you’ll receive or, as my Mom would say, “The joy is in the giving!”
Click HERE for the entire testimony.

Kathy Cooksey- "...I pick these because we, as Christians, must mālama (care for) people in and out of our church. We have kuleana (responsibility) to support our church with our time, talent, and tithes, because what we have here supports ourselves and our community. And we know it can be hard to make time, to know our or share our talent, and/or to tithe... but we must ho`omau—persevere."

All Saints Day
On November 3, 2019, we celebrate the Feast of All Saints. The congregation is invited to bring photos of loved ones who have died. Photos are to be arranged at the altar table prior to the start of each service (7:30a &10a), please arrive early to do so. Lord have mercy on all the departed, may light perpetual shine upon them.
Strategic Vision Update Corner

How can our Holy Apostles Community take steps to be more sustainable and kind to our environment?

October Green Tip
Greta Thunberg is a 16-year old Swedish environmental activist. She is a young leader who is not afraid to stand up for our future. View the documentary video  Make the World Greta Again and be inspired by her and other young adults. Her message goes beyond climate change. Being in the midst of our Visioning process and our Stewardship campaign~Entrusted Gifts, it is so relevant to see the power of UNITY ~ being and working together toward a common cause. Be motivated; be creative; be excited using your passion and gifts and make a difference. Be a part of the transformation that has already begun at Holy Apostles!
In remembrance of Saint Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures, the furry babies of CHA were held in loving embrace this past Sunday. God bless them!
