Entrusted Gifts Corner

2 nd  Corinthians 9:7    Everyone according as one purposes in their heart, so let them give; not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Starting this month you will find an annual ‘pledge’ card for 2020 in the back of the pews.  Our vestry and finance committee use these cards to plan/supervise the cost of running this parish and itsʻ outreach and service to the community for the next year.  Please do not let these cards intimidate you or weigh on your mind.  Only after prayer and discernment of your giving of gifts of time, talent and tithes should you fill out these cards.  They can be placed in the offering plate or dropped off in the office up thru November 17, 2019.
All Saints Day
On November 3, 2019, we celebrate the Feast of All Saints. The congregation is invited to bring photos of loved ones who have died. Photos are to be arranged at the altar table prior to the start of each service (7:30a &10a), please arrive early to do so. Lord have mercy on all the departed, may light perpetual shine upon them.
Strategic Vision Update Corner

How can our Holy Apostles Community take steps to be more sustainable and kind to our environment?

October Green Tip
Greta Thunberg is a 16-year old Swedish environmental activist. She is a young leader who is not afraid to stand up for our future. View the documentary video  Make the World Greta Again and be inspired by her and other young adults. Her message goes beyond climate change. Being in the midst of our Visioning process and our Stewardship campaign~Entrusted Gifts, it is so relevant to see the power of UNITY ~ being and working together toward a common cause. Be motivated; be creative; be excited using your passion and gifts and make a difference. Be a part of the transformation that has already begun at Holy Apostles!
Disability Rights Hawaii, in collaboration with Squeaky Wheels Hawaii, will be marching in the 2019 Hawaii Island Veterans Day Parade. We have a banner and need lots of participants from the disability community, disabled or supporter. Lets show our support for making Hawaii a more accessible place to live! People with all disabilities, their caregivers, as well as supporters are encouraged to participate .

DATE: November 9, 2019

TIME: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Please be at Wailoa State Park before the parade begins. You will find our group by looking for the DRH/Squeaky Wheels banner.

PARKING: You must come in from the direction of Kens Pancake House and turn into the road for the Kamehameha statue. For all march units to exit the field it takes usually an hour. Other participant parking is at the State Building parking near the Wailoa center.

LEGAL NOTICE: All participants are solely responsible for any personal injury and/or property damage resulting from participation in the 2019 Hawaii Island Veterans' Day Parade on November 9.
