Our new "Finally!" TV spot for Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) presents ordinary Mainers' ideas about how to improve healthcare delivery-which CMH's new Topsham Care Center will soon fulfill.
The Topsham Care Center
 offers easier access to affordable,
quality care...finally!
Healthcare has become steadily more expensive and difficult to access for many Mainers--like all Americans. That's why Central Maine Healthcare in March announced plans for the new Topsham Care Center at the Topsham Fair Mall. They've gutted a former Best Buy and created comfortable new spaces for urgent care, specialty care, imaging and lab services, all accessed via an attractive central atrium, where a concierge will welcome patients.

The challenge CMH gave Burgess was to generate awareness and excitement about the new facility long before it could be photographed. We began by designing large print ads, which debuted in April, featuring the architect's renderings of the exterior and atrium. In May, we created the :30 TV spot above, which began airing in June to build interest in this new concept in anticipation of its August opening.

We're excited to be helping CMH introduce "medtail" for the first time to Maine--with another client, New England Cancer Specialists, as an important partner (see below).

Our Clients Are Our MVPs
We're proud to promote the amazing work of New England Cancer Specialists.
In February, we introduced a TV spot for New England Cancer Specialists (NECS) featuring Sarah Emerson of Westbrook, an unusually young breast cancer patient. An avid runner, Sarah continued to train throughout her treatments, but she did lose her hair and often felt less than 100%.

This month, we produced a second commercial for NECS, "MVP," that included Sarah and her care team, led by Dr. Chiara Battelli, celebrating the completion of Sarah's treatments--and her recent completion of a very difficult Boston Marathon. While we always enjoy creating our :30 video stories, it was especially rewarding in this case to see the results of NECS's expertise so dramatically visible in Sarah's progress since we last worked with her.

Meanwhile, we are also helping NECS promote their Midcoast office's move from Brunswick to...Topsham (where else?). Below are the print ad and TV spot that show off their spacious, light-filled new quarters at CMH's new Topsham Care Center:
Finally, we just learned that we earned a Communicator Award of Distinction for our comprehensive 2016-17 campaign for NECS.
Leadership Unfolds for Dielectric
One of Maine's hidden gems of a business is Dielectric, based on a hill in Raymond. A global player in the highly technical field of television and radio antennas, Dielectric has become the nation's leader in supplying US broadcasters with antennas to support the "Repack," the new channel lineups resulting from the FCC's bandwidth auction.

To meet the increased demand, the company has opened a new plant in Lewiston, increased its workforce and is working more hours than ever.

Burgess has helped Dielectric promote its Repack leadership role by producing a striking handout for the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) spring conference. Starting at a modest 12" X 8" size, it folds out to a poster that answers the question, "What's the Magic Path to Become America's Repack Leader?"
Happy summer!

It has been a busy spring, thanks to both new and long-term clients, so I am especially glad to have hired the three new people presented below to our team. Welcome, John, Julie and Becky!

I can't believe it's summer, which means only one month left to train for the 11th annual Tri for a Cure on July 22nd in South Portland. In my traditional role as last finisher, I have the honor of seeing many of the amazing and brave women who invest countless hours to participate, with benefits to both a good cause and their own personal growth.

Burgess Advertising has been a sponsor since the inception of this event to benefit the Maine Cancer Foundation. In the first ten years, more than 11,792 women have participated, and the event has raised nearly $12 million to support cancer research, education, and care exclusively in Maine, 100%. Click here to learn more about the event, or here to volunteer during the race weekend, or here to support my efforts.

Thank you and have a great summer!
