Senior Thesis 2024 at Bates College Museum of Art

in Lewiston, Maine, April 12 through May 25

Bates College Museum of Art presents, Senior Thesis 2024, the culmination of eight students' time at the college. Soon-to-be graduates Amelia Hawkins, Yuri Kim, Avery Mathias, Miguel Ángel Pacheco, George Peck, Olivia Rabin, Emma Upton and Joseph Vineyard present their work in painting, performance, digital animation, mixed media and more. "The emphasis of the program is on creating a cohesive body of related works through sustained studio practice and critical inquiry," according to a curatorial statement. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday and Wednesday to 7:30 p.m. during the academic year. Groups of 10 or more should schedule their visits in advance. UMass Dartmouth 2024 MFA Thesis Exhibition at New Bedford Art Museum

in New Bedford, Massachusetts through May 11

New Bedford Art Museum and UMass Dartmouth present UMass Dartmouth 2024 MFA Thesis Exhibition, which showcases the work of MFA students Ruth Douzinas, Zeph Luck, Matthew Napoli, Fallon Keiko Navarro and Darley Ortiz Garcia. The work of these graduating students includes painting, drawing, ceramics, digital media, and site-specific installation. These works draw on the individual skills and interests of the students involved as well as the strong traditions of the UMass Dartmouth College of Visual and Performing Arts. Boston University MFA Painting Thesis Exhibition at Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery

Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery presents Boston University MFA Painting Thesis Exhibition, one of many MFA exhibitions put on by Boston University during the graduation season. This show specifically highlights the work of students who have dedicated their education to all kinds of painting. Students include Cody Robert Hook Bluett, Sarai Bustos, Tea Chair Beer, Huakai Chen, Natalie Conway, James Gold, Abbi Kenny, Yingxue Daisy Li, Julia McGehean, Sayak Mitra, Linda Obobaifo, Stephanie Petet, Jacob Salzer, Sidharth Shah, Sophie Thervil and Ellen Weitkamp.
