Support Healthy Eating in October

Join us in October as we celebrate ACF’s Childhood Nutrition Day (Oct. 16) and Worldchefs’ International Chefs Day (Oct. 20). Let’s work together and host awareness events around the globe during the month of October. We will once again offer grants to support chefs with this initiative. If you don’t know how to start, we have a list of activities to choose from.

Don’t forget, all photo submissions will be entered into a drawing on Nov. 6 to win a $75 to the ACF Online Learning Center!

September’s Ingredient of the Month

Star anise is a spice made from the fruit of an Illicium verum tree . The fruits of this evergreen tree have tiny seeds contained in pods shaped like a star. These pods are tough-skinned, rust-colored and have five to ten points.

As you read through this month’s article , test your knowledge by taking a quiz to earn continuing education hours. Ingredient of the Month quizzes can be found on the ACF online learning center.
Inspire is a collection of professional photos, footnotes, recipes and ideas provided by students, mentors, and the AAC Fellows.
