ICYMI: Downtown Ottawa Action Agenda Out Now!

Downtown Ottawa is the heartbeat of our whole region. What happens downtown has a direct and immediate impact on every business, every resident, and every visitor. Our plan targets four big moves to realize that vision:

  • Add 40,000 new residents to downtown
  • Attract 50,000 new jobs to downtown
  • Establish a joint $500 million dollar fund to kick start action
  • And focus on catalytic anchors for downtown including investment in the Sparks Street and ByWard Market public realms, and creation of a Business Incubation District and an Arts/Culture Corridor

Every one of us has a role and a vested interest in the success of our city core. We call on each of you, all our residents, businesses, and stakeholders to join us in reshaping our city core, making downtown Ottawa more diverse, resilient and vibrant than ever before.
