Hello,

We have had such a great response to the introduction of our brand new intensive outpatient program (IOP)! Held Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 10am-1pm, Next Step's IOP is a closed group just for NSR clients and their families. Most insurance is accepted for this program!

An IOP can be especially helpful for men coming directly from inpatient treatment and for those with a history of relapse.

Men who are coming directly from inpatient treatment and/or have a history of relapse see great benefits from an IOP. After finishing the 12-week program, our residents continue to strengthen their recovery through daily 12-step work, individual case management, counseling, relapse prevention education and life skills training that promote success during the critical first year when the relapse risk is greatest.

As always, I welcome any questions you may have. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss recovery options for yourself or a loved one.

All my best,

Susan Stader, MS, LPC, LCAS, CCS-I

The right to hope that recovery is not only possible but probable with adequate support is one of our 10 Right to Recover tenets. People can and do overcome the internal and external challenges, barriers, and obstacles that confront them. More than 23 million individuals in substance abuse recovery are living proof that we are resilient and capable of change.

Next Step Recovery provides more than just affordable sober living homes. The minute you walk in the door, you know that you are a part of a loving and supportive extended family. In addition to fellowship, Next Step also offers daily 12-step guidance and life skills training.

Next Step's own Brian Nolan was recently featured as a guest on Asheville's 103.7 WPVM Mindful Emergence radio show. Click the link below, scroll down to show #82, and listen in as Brian tells his story and discusses "What is a Recovery Residence and How Does it Work?"

"My son completed 3 months of sober living at Next Step Recovery, surrounded by kind, caring and compassionate staff, with all the skill sets required of true professionals to guide and assist him in living a productive, healthy, sober and happy life. He flourished and started to smile and enjoy life again during those three months.

He now lives across the country and is starting to build a career for himself and is enjoying the normal things in life that had been missing for so many years. As a family we have been blessed to have been connected with Next Steps Recovery. Thank you."
