Memory Care Resources & Support
Greetings!

We are pleased to return to your inbox with news from our team and support for yours. We've been busy over the past few months, including the relocation of Center for Applied Research in Dementia into a new home. We are now located on the campus of Jennings in Garfield Heights, Ohio, which offers a range of services from independent living residences to long-term care and community-based adult day services, short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation, home care and hospice. Through this partnership, CARD will be able to work directly with residents and persons with dementia to improve interventions in memory care, staff training and retention, and to develop the most effective products to share with the world. We appreciate their generosity, which allows us to focus on what is important to care providers in the current state of the industry and explore the best way to integrate an improved model of care.

Keep reading for news from our team and care communities, as well as free resources to support you and your care partners.

In our experience treating people with respect, dignity and equality, we've seen the unexpected and have learned to "expect miracles." We share Dr. Montessori's optimism for human potential and seek to break assumptions of what is possible for people with memory impairments. When the limitations of a medical model of care are realized, the long-term care industry can evolve and deliver a person-centered service that we would want to live in ourselves.
