  • Like any printer they cant do everything, you really need to understand why you are purchasing the machine you are and what are you going to print on it. Just like UV, eco solvent, Solvent Dye sub, they are all great at printing on the core product they are designed to, but apart from that they have their limitations. Don't be fooled by anyone, do you buy a Jeep to race on a track or a Ferrari to go off road. buy based on what you need for your business not hype from a sales rep.
The new Eco Solvent and Pigment are significantly improved on past generations.
Another useful thing to remember is you can only print one item on one machine at a time, so if you are looking to replace multiple machines with one, is that wise???

  • Pros - Fully cured and dry as it comes off the printer. No smell. Great addition if you have only inkjet printers.
Cons - No cutter. Needs 2 x 15 amp sockets. Problems finding a banner material that can take the heat required to cure the ink without buckling. Don't know about the new ones, but the old ones created a bow in the print, with a convex bottom and a concave top. Slow to warm up and initialise.
  • To be able to instantly finish the prints as they come off the printers is the biggest advantage of Latex over Eco Solvent. Against pigment ink it is more cost effective and the inks are outdoor durable.(Jason, Mediaprint)

Jack was about to marry Jill and his father took him to one side "When I married your mother, the first thing I did when we got home was take off my trousers" he said.
"I gave them to your mother and told her to put them on. When she did they were enormous on her and she said to me that she couldn't possibly wear them, as they were too large.... I told her of course they're too big. I wear the trousers in this family and I always will. Ever since that day, we have never had a single problem."
Jack took his father's advice and as soon as he got Jill home, alone after the wedding he did the same thing; took of his trousers, gave them to Jill and told her to put them on.
Jill said that the trousers were too big and she couldn't possibly wear them. "Exactly" replied Jack "I wear the trousers in this relationship and I always will.  I don't want you to forget that ".
Jill paused and removed her knickers and gave then to Jack " Try on these" she said, so he tried them on but they were too small. "I can't possibly get into your knickers" said Jack, "Exactly " replied Jill.
"And if you don't change your bloody attitude, you never will. "
