YES, WE MADE IT!
The time has finally arrived! We made it through transition and are now poised to begin the ministry of the Rev. Lauren Holder as our new rector.
Transition periods for congregations are historically when time is spent determining who they are, where they are in their faith journey, what their vision is for the future, and deciding on the characteristics needed in a new rector that will allow them to attain that vision.
Through the hard work of our congregation, the profile and search committees, our interim rector, and the vestry we have accomplished all that we can to move into the future. Now we begin to focus on and support Rev. Lauren's new ministry as she uses her skills and desires to lead us in achieving and exceeding our vision.
Rev. Lauren begins her ministry as the rector of St. Martin's-in-the-Field Episcopal Church and School on October 1st and she will celebrate her first Eucharist with us on the 6th. Please join me in welcoming Lauren, her husband Jay, and children Charlie and Lucy Rae into our congregation.
As is our tradition in time of celebration, there will be a gathering in the parish hall following the 10:00 a.m. service on Oct 6 to celebrate the start of Rev. Lauren's ministry with a lunch and... you guessed it CAKE!
With much gratitude for your all your hard work and faithfullness during this transition and in God's peace.

2025 STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN | |
Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself for us, an offering and sacrifice to God.
~ Ephesians 5:2
|
To Walk in Love calls us to remember that our greatest gift in community is how we align, come together in purpose and mission. To fund the mission of St. Martin’s in-the-Field we need to receive $810,000 in pledges for 2025. Your pledges typically cover about 85-90 percent of our budget. Take some time to consider your pledge to St. Martin’s. Each of us hears this call differently, just as each of us has been blessed by God differently.
