Urgent request: Red Cross blood drive

Wednesday, September 19, 2:30-7:00 p.m.

We hope that you all stayed safe during Hurricane Florence! Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who were affected and our desire is to help those in need.

Hurricane Florence has caused thousands of units of blood and platelet products to go uncollected as blood drives were cancelled in the storm's wake. Making it even more critical to donate blood now.

The Horizon Team is proud to volunteer for the blood drive being hosted by the Elks Lodge #449 this week, and encourage you, if able, to participate in this very worthy cause.

The trade war saga continues

Stocks traded higher all week in the face of new tariffs on China proposed by the President. And for the month, the Dow and S&P 500 are higher, but the NASDAQ and Russell 2000 are lower, but only slightly. The standout index; however, was the Dow Transport average, which roared ahead to a new record high. That got the attention of some of the Dow Theory group ...
