About six months ago a good friend of mine, who happens to be a minister, came to me and Tammy obviously shaken. At first it scared me not knowing what he was about to say. He started out by telling us that he never remembers his dreams. However last night he had a dream that a wind storm came along and picked up the restaurant and took it away. It was almost out of sight but it stopped in midair then turned, came back and sat right back down on its original foundation. I knew that this was something spiritual but had no idea what. 

A few months went by and without even thinking about the dream we started noticing things changing. Attitudes, low morale, burn out…this continued to worsen to the point that I could see that the Rodney’s family wasn’t going in a good direction. Soon, through a series of events beyond my control, we closed abruptly. This happened so fast that Tammy and me weren’t sure what our next step was. Immediately we started getting approached by people interested in purchasing the business so we thought maybe this is what God has in store for us.  For a while we leaned in this direction but there was always a sense of uneasiness in my gut. As we were finalizing the arrangements to sell the business, I realized that with a few changes we could reopen and lead this business in the right direction.

From my heart, I love and respect all of my employees and would never put myself before them. The only people that don’t believe this are past, disgruntled employees who tried to do everything possible to hurt me. Believe me it does hurt but at the end of the day I love them too because that is what God has commanded of me. 

And to circle back around to the dream….my friend said "I’m not sure what this means but I believe we will see some “shaking up” around here soon."  I’d say that in June of 2022 that is exactly what happened.
